Inspired by Alina's recipe ... and adapted to our "lusts" ... she did what you see below ....

  • raisins

Make a composition of all ingredients, except a tablespoon of flour. Mix very well until you get a harder dough. In the remaining flour we put the fingertips with which we will take from the composition (because it is sticky and can not be molded), then we will make a roll that we put on the flour. Shake well from the excess and then glue, obtaining a cake. All the papanas are shaped first and then we start frying them. Heat more oil and add the papanasis until nicely browned. Serve with sour cream and jam of your choice.

In a large pot I put the yogurt, salt and water and unwrapped them well with a fork. I put the pot on the fire and brought everything to a boil. Then I poured the semolina in the rain and stirred vigorously so that it did not form lumps. I added the vanilla and simmered for a few minutes, stirring constantly so that it doesn't stick. The gray boils quite quickly.

I pulled the pot aside and let it cool a bit. Because I worked with huge quantities, I poured half of my portion into a large plastic bowl. I broke eggs (5 pieces) & # 8211 in the picture you see more because it was double the amount. I also grated the lemon and orange peel and added the sugar.

Careful! I added sugar in addition to the recipe for papanas with yogurt because I am going to pour the composition, not to model it by hand. The sugar softens this paste and you will not be able to make balls out of it!

What nice flavors this composition of papanasi has !! A madness. I preheated the oven to 200 C with ventilation (high stage for gas ones). I laid the trays with baking paper and poured the composition. On top I distributed a few pieces of butter and sprinkled powdered sugar. It will form a caramelized crust.

Today I tried the papanasi recipe and they came out supeeeeeer good. I fried them in a lot of oil and they grew beautifully, they are crispy, excellent.

Papanasi with blueberry jam

Here is a special recipe sent by a friend of our site, Carmenica: Papanasi with blueberry jam.

Papanasi ingredients with blueberry jam

600 g of fresh cottage cheese
150 g sugar fine cough
250 g flour
3 eggs
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
vanilla
200 g sour cream
blueberry jam
papanasii frying oil

Preparation Papanasi with blueberry jam
In a bowl, mix the cheese with the sugar and baking soda, add the eggs and vanilla, and finally the flour. In a slightly deeper pan, heat the oil and quickly start to form the papanas.
From the dough we form balls the size of a smaller orange. With the index finger we pass through the center of the ball, then we pass the ball through the flour. We enlarge the hole in the middle of the ball, also with our finger and we slightly flatten the obtained papanas. We also form small balls of dough, which we will place on top of the papanas.
Slowly reduce the heat under the pan and fry 2-3 papanas, fry them on both sides until they become bricks.
About 10 papanasi and 10 balls come out of the dough.
Over each papanas, pour a tablespoon of blueberry jam and a tablespoon of sour cream and place a ball on top.
