After the holidays, you are sure to have a lot of egg whites left in the fridge. This has become a favorite of the house;) An airy and very tasty cake. Initially I started from the cake proposed by Miha Simiuc, on his wonderful blog http://www.dulciurifeldefel.ro/prajitura-din-albusuri-cu-nuca-si-cacao, but I deviated a bit;)
- Egg white 13 pieces,
- approx. 380 g,
- Iodized salt ½ teaspoon,
- Vinegar ½ teaspoon,
- Cough sugar approx. 380 g,
- White wheat flour 13 tablespoons,
- Vanilla sugar Dr. Oetker 1 sachet,
- Dr. Oetker saffron baking powder 1 sachet,
- Sugared lemon peel 2 teaspoons,
- Poppy seeds 3 tablespoons,
- Dr. Oetker cocoa powder 3 tbsp,
- Ground walnut approx. 100 g.
Preparation time: less than 60 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Egg white, poppy, cocoa and walnut cake:
The egg whites brought to room temperature, beat vigorously together with salt and vinegar. Once they have become a thick foam, add the sugar, vanilla sugar and continue beating. In the second bowl, add the cocoa powder, mix lightly, then pour the obtained composition lightly over the one with poppy seeds, starting from one end to the other, so as to cover the whole light composition. I still don't have the necessary dexterity, and I had to adjust a little with the paddle, hence the reason why exactly two distinct puddles didn't come out;), like Miha;) Sprinkle coarsely ground walnuts and bake the cake preheated oven approx. 35 minutes at 200 g. After passing the toothpick test, take the cake out of the oven and powder it with powdered sugar. Good luck and good luck!

- 150g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 3 tablespoons brewed coffee
- 2 teaspoons ness
- 3 eggs
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 yolks
- 300 ml milk
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- vanilla essence or stick
Put the butter, sugar, chopped chocolate, ness and coffee in a pan on the fire and leave until they all melt. In the cooled composition, then add the three yolks and flour. Mix well. At the end, add the beaten egg whites. Mix very lightly, from the bottom up, to aerate the dough well. Grease a pan with oil and line with flour. Pour the composition and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Mix the yolks with the sugar and then with the warm milk. Put on the fire on a steam bath and mix until it thickens a little. Set aside and add the vanilla essence. If you use a vanilla stick, put it in the milk from the beginning and strain the sauce at the end.

Sunday was "Mother's Day" here and as we were invited to some friends I said to make a new cake from you, because we really like your cakes. they and I was very happy when I found this recipe because it is a cake that we ate with great pleasure as a child, it was the cake that my mother and grandmother always made. 350g white flour
1 sachet of baking powder

P r e p a r a r e:
I beat the butter for the countertop.
I poured the milk and mixed it.
I also put the flour together with the baking powder and I mixed well.
I put the composition for the countertop in a tray with baking paper and put it in the oven, on medium heat for about 30-40 minutes.
I left the baked countertop to cool a bit and cut it into cubes.
I melted the butter for the icing.
I added the sugar and stirred until it melted.
At the end I poured the milk and rum essence. I let the syrup cool a bit before using it, so as not to burn my fingers.
I took each cube from the counter and passed it through the syrup. I didn't leave them much because they soaked quickly.
Then I rolled each one in ground walnut.

What did you use: nuts or peanuts? Because I tried it with both, but with nuts it's much better. The hazelnuts soften or I don't know what happened to them, but the walnuts remained crispy. :)

Tosca cake with poppy seeds, vanilla cream, biscuits and chocolate is one of the popular cakes, extremely loved, by Romanians. It has a fine egg white top with poppy seeds, homemade vanilla pudding, biscuits and chocolate icing. Tosca cake recipe step by step.
I think many people love this cake, it tastes great. It is not very complex, nor very expensive, but it is very strong.
Method of preparation
Put the crushed yeast in a little warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar to leaven, in a warm place. Separate the yolks from the whites. We keep the raisins in a cup of warm water in which we add a little rum essence.
In a larger bowl, mix the flour with the butter and lard, add the yolks, sugar and leavened yeast. Knead to make a homogeneous, crumbly dough. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, cover with a napkin and leave to rise for 15 minutes.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees C, and put baking paper in the 25cmX35 cm tray. Boil the ground poppy seeds, sugar and milk, then mix with lemon peel and 50 g of drained raisins. We do the same with walnuts, bring it to a boil then add the rum essence and the remaining and drained raisins. Spread the first sheet with the twister, place the poppy seed filling over it. Prepare the soft butter icing at room temperature, which we mix well with cocoa and sugar. After they have homogenized, add hot water and put the icing over the top sheet. Let the cake cool for a few hours, then cut it with a sharp knife, soaked in hot water.
