Ingredients for cooking peasant stew
- Canned white beans 2 cans
- Smoked bacon 300 grams
- Sausages or sausages 2-3 pieces
- Tomato paste 10 grams
- Onion 1 piece
- Wheat flour 2 tablespoons
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil optional
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Sugar 1 pinch
- Basil to taste
- Seasoning universal to taste
- Main ingredients: Bacon, Sausage and sausages, Beans
- Portion 3-4
Saucepan, kitchen knife, cutting board, spatula, frying pan, tablespoon.
Step 1: fry the bacon with sausages.
Cut the bacon into thin strips, and the sausages or sausages into slices. Preheat the pan and fry the sausages with bacon in it, so that they become golden brown, and some of the fat is melted.
Add a little olive oil if necessary (but usually bacon fat is enough).
Step 2: add water.
Transfer the fried pieces of meat to a pan and pour 1 cup water. Bring to a boil.
Step 3: add the beans.
Rinse the canned beans with cold water, dry and add to the pan to the bacon with sausages. Bring the contents of the pan to a boil again.
Step 4: fry the onion with flour.
Dice the onion into small cubes and fry it in a small amount of olive oil.
When the onion becomes soft and transparent, add the butter, melt it and add the flour.
Fry all together, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes.
Step 5: add the onion to the stew.
Add tomato paste to the stew, all the spices to taste (including sugar). Bring everything to a boil again.
Add the onion fried with flour and mix everything well until the broth in the stew becomes homogeneous and thickens. And let it boil again.
Remove the stew from the heat and check for salt and spices to add something.
Step 6: serve the peasant stew.
Serve the stew peas hot, sprinkled with herbs to taste. Be sure to offer him bread. Very tasty, very satisfying and aromatic. Amazingly simple and so amazing dish. Give it a try!
Enjoy your meal!
- Instead of tomato paste, you can take canned tomatoes, crushed by a blender.
