Chicken Dumpling Soup


For soup:

  1. Chicken 400 g
  2. Potato 280 g
  3. Carrot 90 g
  4. Onions 140 g
  5. Salt 2 tsp
  6. Bay leaf 1 pc.
  7. Ground black pepper 1/2 tsp
  8. Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
  9. Flour 80 g
  10. Chicken egg 2 pcs.
  11. Dill 5 g

For broth:

  1. 1 carrot
  2. Onion 1 pc.
  3. Celery Petioles 2 pcs.
  4. Water 2 L

Step 1.

Put carrots in a saucepan, onions in husks, celery and chicken.

Step 2

Pour 2 liters of water and bring to a boil over high heat, remove the resulting foam and reduce the heat to low, close the lid and cook for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Dice the onions, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Pour 1 tablespoon into the pan. oil and fry the onions over medium heat for 2 minutes, then add carrots and fry for another 4 minutes.

Step 4

Remove vegetables and chicken from the broth, separate the chicken meat from the bones and cut into small pieces.

Step 5

Add the diced potatoes, salt, bay leaf to the broth and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 6

Cooking dumplings: add 1/2 tsp to the flour salt and 2 eggs, mix with a fork until smooth.

Step 7

Add chopped chicken and fried onions with carrots, cook for another 3 minutes over low heat.

Step 8

Form dumplings with a teaspoon or a coffee spoon, dip the spoon into the broth and lower ⅓ or ½ tablespoon of dough into the broth, so you need to put the whole dough.

Step 9

Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 5 minutes, turn off the heat.

Step 10

Add finely chopped dill and 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper.
