Lentil soup


  1. Red lentils 250 g
  2. Water 2.5 L
  3. Beef Meat 600 g (any possible)
  4. Onions 230 g
  5. Carrots 110 g
  6. Potato 300 g
  7. Fresh tomatoes 200 g
  8. Salt 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric ½ tsp
  10. Ground black pepper 1/2 tsp
  11. Fresh chili pepper 2 pcs.
  12. Garlic 3 cloves
  13. Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  14. Bay leaf 2 pcs.
  15. Tomato paste 1 tbsp
  16. Cilantro and parsley 5 g

Step 1.

Rinse the meat well, put in a pan and pour 2.5 liters of cold water.

Step 2

Bring to a boil, remove the foam, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour over low heat.

Step 3

Dice onions, carrots, tomatoes and potatoes into small cubes.

Step 4

Wash lentils in cold water.

Step 5

Preheat the pan with 2 tbsp. vegetable oil and fry the onions over medium heat for 2 minutes, add chopped garlic and fry for another 1 minute.

Step 6

Add carrots and fry for 2 minutes.

Step 7

Add the tomatoes and continue to fry for another 2 minutes.

Step 8

Put in the pan 1 tbsp. tomato paste, salt, pepper, turmeric, cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

Step 9

Put the boiled meat from the pan, cut into small pieces. Add potatoes, lentils, chopped meat to the pan and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 10

Add the fried vegetables, bay leaf, chili pepper to the pan, add salt to taste and cook the soup for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with finely chopped fresh herbs before serving.
