Ingredients for Making Pork Chop Rolls

  1. Pork chops 4 pieces
  2. Feta (good quality) 150 grams
  3. Aivar (baked pepper caviar) 4-5 tablespoons
  4. Dried oregano to taste
  5. Sweet paprika to taste
  6. Wheat flour 3 tablespoons
  7. Sour cream or heavy cream 1 teaspoon
  8. Potato starch 1 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Ground pepper to taste

Cooking pork chop rolls:

Step 1: prepare the pork chops.


Chops can be of any size, it depends on your appetite.
Beat the meat with a hammer on both sides.

Salt (don't get carried away, feta is probably pretty salty cheese on its own), pepper your chops, add dried oregano.

Step 2: prepare the filling.


Mix feta cheese and ayvar in a bowl.

Stir so that you get a fairly uniform paste.

Step 3: roll the rolls of pork chops.


Spread a paste of feta cheese and vegetable caviar on your chops, apply a thick layer, do not spare. Then roll the meat into a roll and, so that it does not break up, tie it with a dense culinary thread.

Roll pork chop rolls in flour.

Step 4: fry pork chop rolls.


Heat olive oil in a pan and fry pork rolls in it until golden brown on all sides. Fry over high heat, as your task here is to get a crust, not to cook meat.

Step 5: stew pork chop rolls.


Immediately after frying, transfer the rolls from the pork chops to the pan and fill them with water so that it covers the meat by 3/4. And simmer everything under a lid for 40 minutes or until ready.

Shortly before cooking, add paprika to the sauce. You can also add pepper and salt, if necessary. In addition, you will see that thanks to the filling and meat, the sauce has acquired an interesting and very mouth-watering color.
Remove the rolls from the pan.

Step 6: prepare the sauce.


Mix sour cream with a little hot sauce, and then pour it all into a pan and mix.

Dilute the starch in a very small amount of water and gradually pour it into the sauce, stirring and controlling the degree of thickening to achieve the result you need. If you need to add less starch than indicated, then it is not necessary to pour everything.
Bring the sauce to a boil, remove it from the heat and let it stand under the lid and cool slightly.

Step 7: serve the rolls of pork chops.


Serve pork chop rolls by pouring them with aromatic meat sauce. As a side dish, you can choose anything, rice and buckwheat, and potatoes, and a vegetable salad, such as beetroot, will be good here.
