Chicken with dates

Ingredients for cooking chicken with dates

  1. Chicken meat (from legs) 500 grams
  2. Cinnamon 1 stick
  3. Chili pepper 1 piece (small)
  4. Onion 1 piece
  5. Dates 1 pack
  6. Dry red wine 1 cup
  7. Water 1/2 cup
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pepper to taste
  10. Honey to taste
  11. Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking:

Step 1: prepare the chicken.


Take fat chicken meat from the legs and legs, in no case fillet, it will come out a bit dry.
Rid the meat of bones and skin, cut into small pieces, salt and fry over high heat until golden brown. Important! Meat should not be cooked inside, only outside.
Set the fried chicken aside.

Step 2: prepare the other ingredients.


Wash and peel the dates, finely chop the onion, chop the chilli into thin shelves, removing the seeds.

Step 3: stew the chicken with dates.


In the same pan in which the chicken was fried, fry the onions until golden. Add chili peppers to it and sauté together a little more.
Add chicken, cinnamon stick and dates. Pour in wine and water and simmer under a lid for 30 minutes.
At the end, season to taste with salt and pepper, add honey and cook by opening the lid for about 10-15 minutesuntil the sauce thickens.

Step 4: serve the chicken with dates.


Sprinkle the cooked chicken with fresh green onions and chili when serving, this will add piquancy. As a side dish, rice is ideal. But you can serve such a chicken as a snack, including alcoholic beverages.
