Cooking strudel with jam:
Step 1: prepare the dough.
If you use fresh yeast, you must first dilute it in warm milk with sugar. Dry can immediately be added to flour.
Combine yeast, milk, sifted flour, eggs, butter softened at room temperature, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Knead a homogeneous dough and leave it to rise 2 hours. The mass should be doubled, perhaps it will take a little less than the specified time.
Step 2: add the jam.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each into a thin layer, measuring 28 by 35 centimeters, approximately.
Grease the dough with jam. I felt sorry for him, so it didn’t work out so well, next time I will definitely add more toppings, and I recommend you not to save it.
Roll the greased dough into rolls and fold them onto a parchment-covered baking sheet. Let there be some distance between the dough. Leave it still for a while, so that the rolls increase in size.
Step 3: bake strudel with jam.
When the strudel doubles, cut them with a knife along the middle and wait a minute to open them. Lubricate with milk and sprinkle with crumbs of butter mixed with flour and sugar (vanilla and regular).
Bake strudel with jam at 180 degrees during 40 minutes. Then remove the pastries from the oven and cool at room temperature.
Step 4: serve the strudel with jam.
Cut the strudel with jam into portioned pieces and serve as tea for dessert. This is a delicious home-made pastry. Eats up all instantly to the last crumb.
Enjoy your meal!
- You can use exactly half the ingredients to make one strudel with jam, and not two.
