  • 100 gr. ground walnut
  • 1 jar of 800 gr with apricot jam
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • chocolate for decoration
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

RECIPE PREPARATION Cake Greta Garbo:

From: flour, yeast, powdered sugar, margarine (at room temperature), 2 egg yolks, baking powder and 100 ml milk make a suitable hard dough that is divided into three equal parts and let cool for 30 minutes. divided into three, spread each sheet in turn (everything is put in a stove tray on which I put baking paper) taking care to put on the first sheet half the amount of jam and a tablespoon of caster sugar, a packet of vanilla sugar and also half the amount of walnuts, then spread the second sheet and repeat the operation. Put the third sheet and put in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. While it is baking, melt the chocolate on which we spread when the cake is ready and taken out of the oven.

  • For sheets:
  • 600 g flour
  • 250 g lard or butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg + 2 egg yolks
  • 130 ml of milk
  • 2 sachets of yeast
  • a pinch of salt
  • the peel of a lemon
  • For the cream:
  • a jar of jam or jam
  • 300 g ground walnuts
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • For the glaze:
  • 100 g milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons liquid cream
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Mix the yeast with a tablespoon of sugar and a few tablespoons of milk and let it rise.

Put the rest of the sugar in a bowl together with the egg and the two yolks and beat with the mixer and a pinch of salt until you get a cream.

Put the flour and lard or butter in a bowl and knead until you get a crumbly dough. Add the yeast and beaten eggs with the sugar and knead, adding the milk little by little. At the end, incorporate the lemon peel and mix everything well.

Divide the dough into four equal pieces. Spread each piece of dough with the rolling pin. Place the first sheet in a tray lined with baking paper. Mix the ground walnuts with the sugar. Spread a layer of jam over the dough, then sprinkle with walnuts and sugar. Put the second sheet and do the same.

Continue until you reach the last sheet. You will no longer put jam and walnuts on top of the last sheet. Cover the cake and leave it to rise for another 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. When the cake has risen, put it in the oven for an hour. For the icing, melt the chocolate and mix it with 2 tablespoons of liquid cream and a tablespoon of oil.

Pour the icing over the cake after removing it from the oven. Allow the cake to cool and the icing to harden, after which you can cut it.

Greta Garbo cake is a traditional dessert with apricot jam and chocolate icing. We rub 200 gr butter with two tablespoons of powdered sugar, 1 whole egg and a yolk, baking powder, very little baking soda and vanilla, 400 gr flour we knead it and divide it into 3. You can possibly put 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream if it's needed.

Put the first sheet in the pan greased with butter and lined with flour, add jam mixed with walnuts and sugar, add the second sheet, and jam with walnuts and sugar, the third sheet and let the cake rise in the pan. Then bake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees.

For the icing, mix 3 tablespoons of water with 3 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of cocoa and 50g of butter. Cover the Jerbo cake with icing after it has cooled.

Ingredient:

  • 500 gr flour, 250 gr sugar
  • 320 gr butter, 10 gr dry yeast
  • 100 gr dark chocolate
  • 200 gr apricot jam, 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method of preparation:

Sift flour with baking powder and dry yeast in a bowl. Add warm milk, 100 g sugar and egg. Melt 250 butter in the microwave, allow to cool slightly, then pour into the flour bowl.

Knead the dough, then cover with food foil and place in a warm place. Leave to rise for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Put the gaise jam in a blender, add the walnuts and the remaining sugar. Mix everything very well.

After the dough has risen, transfer it to the worktop and divide it into 3 equal parts. Each piece of dough is spread in a rectangular, thin sheet.

In a rectangular tray, lined with baking paper, put a sheet of dough and grease with half the filling of walnuts and apricot jam.

Cover with the second sheet of dough and pour the remaining filling. At the end, add the last piece of dough. Leave the cake aside for 30-40 minutes, then prick it with a fork and put it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake for 25 minutes.

To prepare the icing, break the chocolate into pieces and mix with 70 g of butter. Melt in a bain-marie or in the microwave.

Pour the icing over the hot cake. The cake is then left to cool, then refrigerated for a whole night. The next day it is cut into slices and served. Good appetite and increase cooking!
