Ingredients for Bean Salad with Herring
- Salted herring fillet 1 / 2-3 / 4 kilograms
- Beets (boiled or baked) 3 pieces
- Potato (boiled) 4 pieces (small)
- Red beans (canned) 1 can
- Pear 2 pieces
- Red apple 1 piece
For the sauce
- Mayonnaise 1 cup
- Natural yogurt 1 cup
- Mustard 2-3 tablespoons
- Lemon juice to taste
For decoration (optional)
- Mayonnaise 1 cup
- Boiled eggs 2-4 pieces

Salad bowl, plate, whisk, cutting board, tablespoon.
Step 1: prepare the ingredients.
Herring, while vegetables are boiled, must be soaked first in water, then in milk to remove excess salinity. After the fish fillet, cut into cubes.
Rinse the apples and pears and, if desired, peel, then cut into cubes.
Also cut into cubes and beets with potatoes, after they are cooked, and you will peel them.
Rinse canned beans.
Mix and adjust all the components of the sauce to your taste.
Step 2: lay the salad in layers.
Put a little sauce on the bottom of the salad bowl. Lay a piece of herring and some apples with pears on top. Lubricate the top with the sauce.
The next layer is potatoes and beans. And again the sauce.
Put beets, herring and apples with pears on top.
And repeat all the layers from the beginning. At the very end, at the top you should get a layer of beets and fruits.
Step 3: decorate the bean salad with herring.
If you wish, you can either just pour the salad with lemon juice or decorate it with mayonnaise and a hat of grated apples.
Step 4: serve bean salad with herring.
Bean salad with herring should be served chilled. Keep it a little in the refrigerator before placing it on the table. A wonderful salad that will be relevant also for the New Year. Replace them with a slightly bored herring under a fur coat.
