Veal Paprikash


  1. Veal 300 grams
  2. Onion 1 piece
  3. Fat for frying
  4. Sweet paprika 1 tablespoon
  5. Wheat flour 1 tablespoon
  6. Thick sour cream 1-2 tablespoons
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Pepper to taste

Frying pan, knife, cutting board, pan.


Step 1: chop the meat.

Take a good piece of veal, it should be a quality tenderloin. Rinse the meat and pat dry with paper towels. Cut off excess fat, but this is not necessary if you like such fat in a dish. Cut the veal into small cubes.

Step 2: chop the onion.

Peel and chop the onions into very small cubes.

Sprinkle the meat with a little salt and pepper. Shuffle.

Step 3: fry veal with onions.

Melt the fat in a pan, fry the onion in it until soft. Add meat and fry, stirring constantly, at a fairly high temperature.

When the meat turns brown on all sides, add paprika. Mix very fast. Sauté for 10-12 secondsand when you feel a delicate aroma, add a little water to the pan.

And mix until you get a uniform sauce.

Step 4: stew the veal.

Transfer the meat with onions and paprika to the pan and add boiling water on top. The amount of water depends on how thick the sauce you want to get as a result.
Add salt and pepper, simmer for 20-30 minutesstirring.

Separately, in a glass, dissolve the flour in a small amount of cold water, and then mix it with sour cream.
Pour in a sour cream with flour a little boiling sauce from the pan and mix quickly.

Pour sour cream into a pot of stewed veal.

Boil everything together for another 1 minutes, then remove from heat and let stand a little under the lid.

Step 5: serve the veal paprikash.

Serve veal paprikas hot. As a side dish, anything your heart desires, from boiled potatoes to dumplings. As a nice addition, pickles are suitable.
